Ryhall Village Hall is to be remain closed while official clarification is sought on when it will be possible to safely reopen.
We had been due to reopen this week (Wednesday, December 2, 2020,) following the end of the second national lockdown.
However, the new restrictions of the Government’s tier system has made any decision on reopening extremely difficult.
Ryhall is in a Tier 2 state for Rutland, while nearby villages in Lincolnshire and Stamford are in a Tier 3 state. This affects not only what activities can be permitted in the hall, but who we can allow to use it.
The management committee of Ryhall Village Hall regard the safety of people using the hall to be paramount. A main point of the tier system is to prevent any spread of the virus by people mixing. If migration between the two local tiers is to be prevented the hall, clearly, will have to remain closed to ensure that as far as possible it remains covid free.
This is not a situation that we want and we know that our users will be disappointed. We are constantly seeking official guidance on what our next step should be and we will make a judgment as soon as we have that information.
We will keep you updated.
For further details please contact our hall secretary Anne Virgin on 01780 754621 or by email at email@example.com.
Once the all-clear has been given the hall is ready to open with strict Covid-19 restrictions in place.
Not all activities will automatically resume as initially there will only be a limited number of slots available.
The opening follows guidance from various agencies which deal specifically with village halls and is dependent on Government guidelines which are often in flux.
We know that these necessary regulations are making life difficult and so ask hall users to contact us with their plans regarding future hiring. Once we have these details, we can check their requirements against the current regulations so we can be specific in what is allowed.
To check on what activities can take place and for full details on the new Covid arrangements, including updated hiring agreements, please contact Hall Secretary Anne Virgin by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
In the meantime, we thank everyone for their patience over the past eight months. The constantly changing situation has made managing the hall extremely challenging, but we are doing our best to ensure our “customers” can start safely using it at the earliest opportunity.
