The committee of Ryhall Village Hall hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas and New Year celebrations. We thank you all for your support throughout 2018 and pledge to ensure the village hall remains the best in the area.
Talking of which, we have had, after all, a happy end to the year.
We want to express our gratitude to Ryhall Parish Council for their generous donation after we suddenly discovered we had to completely re-cover the flat roof over the small hall. The substantial cost would have seriously depleted our funds, but the council stepped in to help and at an extraordinary meeting voted to fund most of the work with a donation of £8,000.
Their support is a measure of how warmly the hall is regarded in the parish and how central it is to village life.

On top of that, we are delighted to announce that we have been given a five star hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency after an inspection carried out by Rutland County Council.
This is a tribute to the hard work put in by Anne and Martin Virgin and Sandy Collins. They have done us proud and we heartily thank them.
So, at the close, 2018 finishes on a positive note. Hooray!
Have a great Christmas.
