Crime prevention Workshop & Drop In
6.30pm to 8.30pm
Two recent burglaries and several trailer/vehicle thefts in the village remind us that an informed understanding of the threat and an awareness of Crime Prevention measures is needed if we are all to help our neighbourhood Police Service protect us from crime and detect criminals.
PC Ben Orton 425, our Dedicated Neighbourhood Officer for the Rutland North NR36 Beat in the Melton & Rutland Policing Area of Leicestershire Police will be hosting a Crime Prevention Workshop and Drop In on the evening of 27th June from 6.30 -8.30 in the Village Hall.
He’ll be accompanied by colleagues from the local beat and the Leicestershire Constabularies Crime prevention Officer Mr Al Cook. Al Cook is a retired police officer and has been a Crime Prevention Officer for most of Ben’s service. He’s very well respected and very knowledgeable about current crime trends and scams.
Do try and come along and meet Ben, Al and their colleagues to be informed about how we can all best protect yourselves. There will be helpful aids to take away and opportunities to discuss your specific concerns. The format will be a “Crime Prevention workshop/drop in” allowing people to arrive informally and speak directly with Al and the beat team on a one-to-one basis.
Please do try and attend and help spread the word about the event.
Together we can help make Ryhall & Belmesthorpe a safer place in which to live.
